The current research group consists of thirteen laboratories directed by faculty from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, the School of Pharmacy, and Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics, University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine.

Training Opportunities

Each member of the Institute of Maternal-Fetal Biology participates in the training of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Training fellowships are available on a competitive basis in the following laboratories:

Dr. Glen K. Andrews, Professor of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, University of Kansas School of Medicine. Zinc homeostasis during pregnancy.

Dr. Patrick E. Fields, Assistant Professor in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of Kansas School of Medicine.  Immunobiology.
